Anonymous asked: Hello, will you tell us about your religious beliefs? Or lack thereof. and would you mind explaining why you choose one over the other?

I am atheist in the sense that I do not believe in the god that any modern day Christians believe in. However, in terms of being atheist in any other sense well, the lines begin to blur. I steer clear of any organised religions because as far as I can tell they teach their followers, young, that they should be afraid, that they are sinners and will forever have to do things to make up for being born, more or less. It teaches you that there is a possibility you will forever burn if you do not “please” the terms of the god being worshipped. Children grow up in fear. I believe in the powers of the universe, of nature. I am constantly bowled over by what science has to teach—which is that we are all born from the stars. There is nothing more beautiful to me than that concept. There are many things to wonder, but nothing to fear. I could go on and on, but I’ll leave it at that. Sorry for the long response!
